Timesaver Tip: How to Set Up the Anedot Integration

Anedot is an online donation platform that easily integrates with Julep. Through this service, you can embed sign up forms and donation forms on your website and set up text-to-give programs. Once connected, this integration will push real-time data directly into your Julep database.

Before setting up this integration, you will need to have an existing Anedot account and be a Julep Project Admin. There are three different parts of this integration process, which are explained in detail below. If you have questions about setting up custom fields in Anedot, please see the guide on the Julep Helpdesk.

Access the Anedot Token ID

The first step is to validate the Anedot account with Julep with your unique Anedot API Token.

1. Log into your Anedot account. On the left side of the dashboard, click on Email, Login, and Security.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the page until you see “API Token.” Click on the Show Token button to reveal a string of numbers. Copy the full token.

Create a Julep API Token

In order for data to sync between Anedot campaigns and Julep, you need to create a Julep API Token for each Fund Code that has a unique Anedot Account.

1. Log into Julep and click on My Account, which is in the top right corner. Then select Account.

2. Click on the purple, “Organization Information” button in the top-right corner.

3. Organization Information will appear. Click on the purple, “Data Integration” button at the bottom of the page.

4. Your Julep integrations will appear. Click on the Anedot button.

5. Once the Anedot integrations open, click on the blue, “+ Add New Integration” button to add a new integration for a specific Fund Code.

Note: If you wish to edit an existing integration, click on the button with the account name.

6. Enter your Anedot username and password.

7. Now paste the Anedot Token ID that you copied at the beginning and then hit Submit.

Note: If you have more than one organization account associated with this email, a list of accounts will appear. Select the correct one for this integration.

For detailed information on these fields, please see the guide on the Julep Helpdesk.

Note: Transactions internally processed in Anedot or Julep will use the date selected during data entry rather than the date of processing.

8. The Campaign Name will appear as a button. Click on the name to complete the setup.

9. Click the Clipboard button in the Token field to copy it. Now, get ready to add it to your Anedot account settings.

10. Click Submit.

Link the Julep Toke to the Anedot Campaign

For the last step in the integration process, you need to add your Julep API Token to your Anedot settings.

1. Return to Anedot and select Account in the middle of your dashboard.

2. Click on the Settings menu at the top.

3. Look for Julep and then click on the blue, “Connect” button.

 4. Paste your Julep API Token and click Save. The integration is complete!

Confirm the Integration

1. To verify everything is working correctly, click Send Test Payload to confirm the webhook works properly. Anedot will provide a confirmation message.

2. If you need to disconnect, you can delete the integration under Anedot integrations.
